The Villa

This extraordinarily beautiful island has become known as a destination for lovers of Nature at its most pristine. Our goal has been to create a home situated and appointed in such a way as to tempt guests to forego the more arduous hikes in favor of days spent negotiating the more relaxing passages between verandah, pool and beach. All to the continuous sound of waves rolling onto the beach... the website cannot do it justice. You can click on most photos for larger views!

Villa Passisflora was designed by architects Frank Greene of Rosemary Beach, Florida (USA) and Agar and Johnston of Dominica. The villa’s design highlights the extraordinary views, while taking maximum advantage of the cooling effect of the continuous tradewinds from the east. The villa’s open design coupled with extensive verandah space create an environment in which indoors and outdoors merge, providing extensive outdoor space shaded from the tropical sun. We have worked with Dominican artisans and craftspeople to create a unique and very special home.

Bedrooms

The villa features 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. A “master suite” has a king bed and an adjoining study, which can be used as an additional bedroom. The other two bedrooms feature beautiful British colonial canopy queen beds. All beds have mosquito netting. Jalousie doors made on Dominica of native hardwoods open onto the verandah, bringing the beauty of outdoors—and the cooling breezes—in.

Cooking & Dining

Preparation of meals from the multitude of fresh ingredients available on Dominica is its own reward. The villa is well appointed for the home cook, and your dining pleasure is sure to be enhanced by the glorious vistas in every direction.

Verandahs & Vistas

The villa and its verandahs present vistas which will never be forgotten, looking up the spectacular northeast coast of Dominica to Morne Diabolin and to the dramatic French islands of les Saintes, Guadeloupe and Marie Galant. Take in the sunset over Dominica’s volcanic tip from our observation tower while enjoying a rum punch made with fresh fruit juices from the property and the fine rums from Dominica or the French islands. It truly doesn’t get much better than this!

The Pool

One of the most delightful ways to enjoy the villa’s glorious surroundings is from our infinity-edged pool. The small pool is ideal for an invigorating morning swim or a refreshing dip in the afternoon. Or perhaps the coda to an afternoon at the beach?
